Community Media Platforms - The Bass-Station Opens Up June 4th, 2004 The Bass-Station is a part of a larger project called the Community Media Platforms. We are working on publishing better documentation on both the Bass-Station as well as our other project called the CoDECK. The source code for the Bass-Station will be released under an open source license and we hope you out there will be interested in joining the project to push these platforms out to where they belong - your communities. Bass-Station in WIRED May 1st, 2004 The Bass-Station was featured in the May issue of WIRED. The article was fun and the picture is great but they seemed to miss some of the heart and soul aspects of the project - the fact that its a community centric device as opposed to a hi-tech gadget - not that it isn't though!

Old Ghettoblaster in the New Museum Oct 1st, 2003 As part of a evening of 'Fresh New Media Projects', the Bass-Station will be rockin' at the New Museum this fall. The evening will have several artists making short presentations of their work. The selection includes social network experiments, wireless projects, networked installations, video and sound-based works, and games.
